FTI
designs and builds special purpose gearboxes and transmissions
for the automotive, recreational, commercial/off-road
vehicle, and turf care markets. Gearboxes have been built
for vehicles ranging from motorcycles to Class 8 trucks,
and subway cars. FTI also designs and develops mechanisms
for various applications such as gear ratio selectors.
These mechanisms involve electric, hydraulic, mechanical
and hydromechanical functioning and are configured to
support customer requirements while maintaining manufacturing
cost effectiveness. With increasing pressure on reducing
weight and cost whilst improving performance and operator
features, FTI can successfully claim to have provided
many high technology solutions to many past customers,
and is heavily supporting this development in the new
and emerging markets. |
